History and Introduction

The 32nd Richmond Scout Group is a Scouting organization under Scouts Canada, a member of the World Organization of Scout Movement. It is a part of the Richmond Area and the Pacific Coast Council.

 

 The 32nd Richmond Scout Group was established in the summer of 1996 by Scouter Ivan Tam in partnership with the 42nd B.P. Guild. With the kind support of the Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church, the church offered a venue to the Group for weekly meetings. In the beginning, there were few youth members and leaders, and the Group was short of resources and equipment.

During the past 15 years, the Group has achieved a steady growth under the leadership of our Scouters and the Parent Council Committee members. We now have under the group's care proper equipment for outdoor activities as well as the full spectrum (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, and Rovers) of Scouts Canada programs for youth aged 5 to 26 years old and adult volunteers. Our group is one of the largest in Richmond with about 100 members and volunteers.
